Filey self catering holiday accommodation

Location: our first floor apartment has excellent self catering accommodation for families and couples and is located on a quiet street near the Crescent.

Filey's beach, town centre and Glen Gardens are all within a 5 minute walk. Apart from local shops where you can buy lovely Yorkshire produce there's a large Tesco about 300m from the apartment. The train station is about a 10 minute walk away and there are regular trains to Bridlington, Hull and Scarborough which has services to York. Buses will take you as far as Hull calling into Bridlington and there are also regular services to Scarborough and Leeds.

With private parking you can park up, relax and enjoy your stay!

Area: Filey is a lovely Edwardian coastal town and has a 5 mile stretch of sandy beach.

An amble on the Cleveland Way gives marvellous coastal views and there are plenty of other walks to do without having to take the car. Filey is also on the doorstep of the North Yorkshire Moors and Dalby Forest is only about a 35 minute drive where there are woodland footpaths to be explored.

Filey Brigg is amazing.  Children can spend hours fishing with their nets in the rock pools before taking a break on Coble landing and enjoying some locally caught shellfish or perhaps some great fish & chips.

Scarborough, Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay are nearby and there's plenty to keep the family entertained including Flamingoland which is about 40 minutes away by car.

If you fancy a leisurely day on the steam train, catch a ride on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway which now runs as far as Whitby and offers a marvellous day out!

Eating and Drinking: there's loads of choice with Italian (San Marco Bella Italia), Indian, and Chinese restaurants in Filey's town centre, just a short walk from the apartment.  For more traditional fare there's Charlottes where you can also enjoy a lovely afternoon tea. If you're celebrating a special occasion then perhaps you may wish to book a table at Downcliffe House which is on the seafront.  All have been tried and tested by ourselves and we can honestly say we've always enjoyed our meals wherever we've been.

Filey's great, local pubs are within walking distance but not near enough to keep you awake and at the weekend there lots of entertainment to be found.  If you want to venture further out there are nearby villages where good pub food can be found.

Filey is a great area for cycling, fishing, birdwatching and golfing - you'll never be stuck for something to do.

On rainy days simply relax in the well equipped apartment - there's plenty to keep you entertained!
